Hodson 最佳論文獎 (1992) 此篇論文 Experimental Study of the Effect of Surface Roughness on Friction 是研究機械表面粗糙高度及方向性對潤滑性能之影響的一篇先驅性文章,美國國家工程學院院士 (Member of National Academy of Engineering),前哥倫比亞大學製造中心主任,德州大學奧斯汀分校工學院院長 Professor Fred Ling,在論文後的評論中說:「The authors have really done a remarkable piece of work which will be a serious reference for a long time to come.」。也因為這篇論文在磨潤學上的具體貢獻,因此於1992年獲頒美國國際磨潤學會的Walter D. Hudson 最佳論文獎。 通用汽車公司最高技術獎章, Charles L. McCuen Special Achievement Award (1991) 完成了一個設計引擎零件的電腦輔助設計 (CAD)套裝軟體FLARE (Friction and Lubrication Analysis of Reciprocating Engines) ,可以用於往復式引擎中的活塞、活塞環、曲柄軸系統及凸輪系統等。這個軟體的使用提高了引擎的性能,並縮短了引擎設計的流程及時間,已大量使用於現有引擎零件的改進及新引擎零件的設計上。對通用汽車公司的貢獻每年遠達數百萬美元,因而獲頒了GM的Charles L. McCuen Special Achievement Award。 美國航空太空總署 Technology Utilization Award (1988 and 1989) 應Springer之邀編輯並撰寫磨潤百科中有關Nanotribology的章節 應CRC Press之邀撰寫磨潤手冊中有關Surface Topography與 Lubrication的章節 數篇論文被引用在Fundamentals of Fluid Film Lubrication by Bernard J.
